The Scorpions
Live @ Merriweather Post Pavilion | 7/12/12
The Scorpions have put out hit after hit after hit. Songs like "Rock You Like A Hurricane," "Don't Believe Her," "The Zoo," "No One Like You," and "Wind Of Change" are practically hymns now. The Scorpions were on their “farewell tour” but have since changed their minds. I'm stoked. This was an incredible show. Front man Klaus Meine's vocals were fantastic and lead guitarist Rudolf Schenker (older brother of former Scorpions guitarist Michael Schenker) was crushing it. Drummer James Kottak played one of the most insane drum solos ever, backed with videos of himself montaged from various Scorpions' album covers. An amazing light show blazed and the crowd danced, sang and had a blast. The Scorpions owned the stage and emitted more energy than a nuclear bomb. What a night.
The Scorpions played Metal Week this night with Night Ranger.
