Daughtry
Pier Six Pavilion | 7/6/13
Daughtry is one of my favorite live bands. Formed and fronted by Chris Daughtry, it has three records out with a fourth aiming for release in early 2014. They fuel the audience, with every fan singing song after song. Backed by a phenomenal rhythm section in drummer Robin Diaz and bassist Josh Paul, every song has a power that you can feel from anywhere in the venue. A trio of guitarists in Chris, Josh Steely, and Brian Craddock bring a sound, feel, and uniqueness that you're only going to get at a Daughtry show. Chris returned the favor to 3 Doors Down's Brad Arnold when they performed a killer duet of Phil Collins' "In The Air Tonight" during Daughtry's set. One of the best parts of seeing Daughtry is the sheer love and appreciation the band shows for their fans. This is not just thanking the crowd from the stage but getting out for post-show meet-and-greets, signing autographs and posing for pictures. All the members of Daughtry are some of the nicest and most respected musicians in the business.
Daughtry performed live with 3 Doors Down and Halestorm during this performance.
